Hip - Surface Anatomy

The first diagram gives an impression of how the muscles of the hip can be located superficially by grouping them according to function. The movements of these muscles and their particular names are detailed in the active movement video.
The second diagram details a number of bony hips parts which are easily located and palpated - in clinical work immediete knowledge of these landmarks is key to effective palpation of the pelvis.
